Case Study: How Jessica Clark Used Her LXD Skills to Help a Nonprofit Reach a Wider Audience
Jan 10, 2025Jessica Clark, a student at the IDOL Academy, recently completed her Learning Experience Designer Badge project: Storyboard Building. Jessica was tasked with using her skills to solve a real-world problem for a nonprofit organization. In this case, she was able to develop an eLearning storyboard for the nonprofit, Center for Biblical Unity, that focused on creating a position statement. Let’s take a closer look at Jessica’s project and its final outcomes.
The Problem:
The Center for Biblical Unity was struggling to reach a wider audience with their existing content. They wanted to create an eLearning module that would teach individuals and organizations how to create a position statement. However, they lacked the resources and expertise to do so. This is where Jessica’s skills came into play.
The Solution:
Jessica used her LXD skills to create an eLearning storyboard for the nonprofit. She carefully researched and analyzed the organization’s existing content and identified the key points that needed to be included in the eLearning module. She then used Google Slides to create a visually appealing and interactive storyboard that would engage the learners and effectively convey the content.
In addition, Jessica used Adobe Stock to enhance the visual appeal of the storyboard by incorporating high-quality images and graphics. She also ensured that the storyboard was designed in a way that would be accessible to all learners, regardless of their learning style.

The Results:
Jessica’s project is still pending, but the initial feedback from the nonprofit has been extremely positive. They were impressed with the storyboard and its design, and they are confident that it will help them reach a wider audience and expand on their existing content. In fact, they are planning to use Jessica’s storyboard as a template for future outreach opportunities!
The Impact:
Not only did Jessica’s project help the nonprofit reach a wider audience, but it also had a significant impact on her own learning and development. Through this IDOL Academy project, she was able to apply her skills and knowledge in a real-world setting, which will undoubtedly benefit her in her future career as a instructional designer.
In addition, Jessica’s project also showcases the importance of using eLearning in the nonprofit sector. By creating an engaging and interactive storyboard, the Center of Biblical Unity can now reach a wider audience and educate individuals and organizations on the importance of creating a position statement.
Jessica’s Achievements:
Jessica’s project is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and skills as a rising instructional designer. She was able to identify a real-world problem, develop a creative and effective solution, and make a positive impact on the Center of Biblical Unity. Her project also demonstrates her ability to use various tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
We congratulate Jessica on her achievements and look forward to seeing more of her projects in the future!
