The Bootcamp is set up for flexibility so that you’re never behind. 

Though the skill development track is technically 8-12 weeks, you can move through the training more slowly as needed. Core lessons are on-demand. Live lessons are recorded with replays available inside your Academy dashboard. The associated assignments are documented in each module. And you can submit your work for feedback at any time.

You have a full 6 months to complete the training, submit your graduate milestones for approval (with wiggle room to make changes as needed), and earn your badge & Certification.

Immediately after enrolling, you get your log-on credentials and access to your Bootcamp dashboard where can complete a handful of intro lesson and earn your first experience (XP) points. 

After your 6 months of access, you can continue learning and stay connected through the IDOL Community & Lessons membership for just $10/month.

Nope. All lessons, activities, feedback requests, credential requirements, and community participation are remote and self-paced. Meaning, if you’re working full time, having a baby, or moving - or just have a complicated schedule - you can still participate in all the activities required to graduate and earn your certification.

There are some live components of the program, but they are not required. 

• Live Weekly Lessons with Expert IDOLs. Guest facilitators lead live sessions to reinforce the topic and lesson(s) for that week. These are recorded and replays are available for all students. 
• Live Group Coaching. Coaches hold Q&A-style live sessions periodically. These are recorded and replays are available for all students. 
• Interview practice (mock) sessions. These require live participation, and sessions are not recorded. You are welcome to arrange mock interviews with your peers inside the community.

To recap, most live components are recorded. So you can watch the replay. Though office hours and mock interviews sessions are not recorded, they are also not required for graduation and certification but rather are additional avenues of support you can leverage if needed.

Absolutely. Plenty of our students join the Bootcamp after landing a new role as an instructional designer or taking on similar responsibilities at work. They use the Bootcamp to fill skill gaps and get training on required authoring tools, like Storyline or Genially. 

Not a problem. We teach you all the tech inside the Bootcamp via step-by-step tutorials. Our training covers tools like Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Genially, Canva, Camtaisa, Audacity, Articulate Rise, Lectora, and CenarioVR (coming soon!).
